A creative movement class for toddlers in Bellingham, WA

**We are currently on a break and hope to bring Toddler Dance with Me back soon. Follow us on Instagram @bellinghamdance to keep updated.**

Toddler can’t sit still? That’s great! Movement and learning are connected.

Connect with your child through play. Encourage your child’s physical development and mind-body connection.

Dance has proven physical and emotional benefits.

This class provides a fun space for toddlers to develop their motor skills, engage in creative play and build social and emotional connections. Classes begin with movement and songs in a circle. Through games, activities, and creative movement, each 30 minute class introduces basic dance concepts such as body parts, shape, pathway, and level and offers a variety of ways to engage with movement. Caregivers actively participate and play along with their little ones; however, absolutely no dance experience is necessary.

About the Teacher:

Marissa Moeri, a graduate of the Skidmore College dance program, has taught dance, on and off, for over a decade. She spent nine years teaching, performing and continuing her dance education at Dancers’ Workshop in Jackson, WY. She’s led classes in ballet, pre-ballet, modern and kinder/creative movement. She enjoys watching her youngest students explore movement and discover and work through new skills.

As a performer with Contemporary Dance Wyoming, Marissa participated in lecture/demonstrations and teaching residencies in Wyoming public schools. She’s been fortunate enough to dance alongside talented artists and has performed the archival work of Anna Sokolow and Isadora Duncan. She’s been part of original work informed by art installations, clowning, and live music. In her experience, dance is challenging, rewarding, brain-building, playful and essential. As a teacher, she strives to share her love of dance as a powerful tool of self-expression.
